C-scan refers to the two-dimensional image produced when ultrasonic inspection data is overlaid on a plan view of the component. The C-scan reveals changes in measured wall thickness or the extent of corrosion,                           denoted with different colors on the digital readout.

CIMA uses portable, hand-held C-scanning units to obtain timely and accurate readings in close quarters. Anywhere our technicians can safely go, we can obtain precise readings exactly equivalent to those of larger motor control units and scanners.
