CIMAs automated B-scan system displays scanned thickness measurements as easy-to-read cross sectional images. The B-scan is constructed from a collection of A-scan signals obtained as the ultrasound beam is moved across the structure. B-scan is especially useful for analyzing internal corrosion in pipes or tank walls.
